The Healthcare AI Audit Training Program equips clinical professionals with the specialized technical competencies, algorithmic oversight skills, and audit frameworks needed to guide healthcare technology deployment. By formalizing clinical authority over AI operations, this curriculum ensures that clinical leadership drives patient safety, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across emerging healthcare delivery systems.

About
Mary Edwards, RN

Founder of Nurse Ed.

Mary Edwards RN, has an an extensive background in critical care and trauma nursing, healthcare finance, and regulatory compliance. Her career includes specialized expertise in Utilization Management (UM), Prior Authorization (PA), and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) detection.

This operational foundation gives her a deep understanding of how clinical documentation, evidence‑based guidelines, payer policies, and federal regulatory requirements intersect in real‑world healthcare decision‑making. Through this comprehensive framework, she helps organizations bridge the gap between clinical data integrity, institutional risk management, and patient safety.

Mary, developed the Healthcare AI Audit Training Program to prepare clinical professionals to apply their clinical expertise toward high‑demand opportunities in artificial intelligence governance and risk mitigation.

The program equips healthcare professionals to operate across specialized roles including:
  • AI Annotation & Model Evaluation: Reviewing and standardizing training data to ensure clinical validity.
  • Quality Review & Healthcare AI Auditing: Evaluating live algorithmic outputs against strict medical criteria.
  • AI Forensic Fraud Auditing: Identifying automated anomalies, systemic billing inflation, and compliance failures.

The curriculum is built on the reality that clinical knowledge must be paired with structured technical execution. Clinical professionals working with artificial intelligence must master objective evaluation criteria to identify unsupported conclusions, isolate model hallucinations, perform source-to-output data validation, and apply the exact regulatory rules governing an active review task.

Through this targeted training, Mary transforms frontline clinical experience into the objective, analytical capabilities required to lead the creation, risk assessment, compliance auditing, and administrative oversight of healthcare AI.

The Nurse Ed Philosophy
"If a nurse does not know how to audit the AI output against the original source data, they are not auditing; they are just proofreading."
